Kobe Bryant was an amazing basketball player. He played for the NBA team, the Los Angeles Lakers, for 20 years. He was great at basketball because he practiced hard and always tried his best. Many people think he's one of the best players ever.

Kobe was called the "Black Mamba" because he was fierce and focused like a snake. He had a special way of thinking called the "Mamba Mentality." This meant never giving up, trying your hardest, and always getting better. He didn't want to be just okay; he wanted to be the best. Kobe used this mindset in basketball and in his everyday life.

During Kobe’s career:

  • He won two gold medals at the Olympics playing for Team USA.
  • He helped the Lakers win five NBA championships.
  • He was chosen to be an All-Star 18 times, which means he was one of the best players in the league.
  • He scored over 33,000 points!
  • He scored 60 or more points in six different games.

Kobe played his last game on April 13, 2016. He is remembered as one of the greatest athletes of all time. He showed that with hard work and dedication, you can achieve amazing things.
