In honor of Black History Month, we invite you to celebrate the remarkable contributions of Black innovators throughout history. We’re adding two new adventures to our collection of Black History month highlights that will take your students on a educational journey where they'll discover the extraordinary achievements of African-American change-makers.

Langston Hughes

• February 1st not only kicks off Black History Month, but it is also the birthday of one of the most influential figures in African-American literature— Langston Hughes. On this adventure students will travel to the New York Public Library’s Schomburg Center for Black History to explore Hughes’ literature and legacy as well as his contributions to the Harlem Renaissance.

Negro Leagues Baseball Museum

• What happens when your dreams are denied? When African-American baseball players were denied their dreams to play in Major League Baseball (MLB) they decided to make a league of their own. Check out our latest adventure that explores the tenacity of Black baseball against all odds.
